It’s one small step for man, one giant leap for us

It’s taken years of thinking and decades of expertise to get to this. Mr Hawke – Flex Pomade 1 is easy to apply, makes your hair look fantastic and smells like a master perfumer was on the team (which funnily enough there is). We know this is good stuff. How can you confirm that? Buy some and test it out. Pretty simple, hey.

What magic is hiding under the lid?

We set out to create the best men’s hair product in the world. Why? Because we were frustrated. Frustrated that there wasn’t a product on the market that could be used correctly at the roots. Frustrated with hair going hard and feeling like plastic. And frustrated that no product helped the hair and regrowth.

Mr Hawke is the answer to our frustration. Give it a go and you'll understand why...

That feels good.

We formulated a product with just the right consistency. It’s not a solid lump you need to dig out or an icky messy goop. It’s a flexible cream that you apply right down to the roots. We’ve called it a ‘flex pomade’. But if that sounds a little too Louis XIII to you, you can always call it ‘product’ or ‘stuff’.

Leave us at home.

If you find your hairstyle getting a bit tired towards the end of the day, there's no need to put on more product. All you have to do is wet your hands and run them through your hair to refresh your look. Easy.

Off and on again.

We’ve added ingredients that help to clean your hair and get rid of previous styling stuff. And that kind of action is known to encourage hair growth and keep your scalp in better condition. You don’t need to thank us - it’s all part of the service.

Is that your hair I smell?

As well as helping your hair look fantastic, our product also smells like it came from the expensive section of the perfume counter. That’s because we roped-in one of Australia's top perfumers to make sure your hair’s a treat to the nose as well as the eyes.

Awesome Things – Vincent Black Shadow

Awesome Things – Vincent Black Shadow

"The World's Fastest Standard Motorcycle. This is a Fact Not a Slogan.": Vincent ad in 1952. What a line. Sixty years ago, the Vincent Black Shadow represented the pinnacle of street-legal performance. Officially timed at 122mph (195km/h), it could outpace Jaguar’s XK120 sportscar – then the world’s fastest production car – making it the first true Superbike, and the benchmark of motorbike excellence.

Classic Style: Short Back & Sides

Classic Style: Short Back & Sides

Growing up in Western Sydney, my barber had a little of the Henry Ford’s about him – you could ask for any style you wanted as long as it was a short back and sides. I resented it. What I failed to realize was the reason the short back and sides, or the SB’N’S as one of the crew calls it, has been one of the most popular men’s hairstyles forever: versatility.

Awesome Things – Air Jordan III’s

Awesome Things – Air Jordan III’s

A little over 30 years ago, on February 7th 1988, Michael Jordan dropped 40 points in the NBA All-Star Game, earning his first All-Star MVP award in one of the most iconic and sought after Air Jordan shoes of all-time – The Air Jordan III’s. It could have so easily been different with Jordan disliking the AJ2’s (not surprising since he’d broken his foot in them) and being courted by multiple other brands, but for the collaboration between an unconventional designer and athlete with an unrivaled talent.
